Personal Training during the pre and post natal stage of pregnancy is key to helping mum stay fit, get stronger and stay healthy to deal with all the challenges of motherhood.
A healthy mum is better able to care for little ones, and getting some exercise can be the ultimate ‘me time’ to help relax and get those endorphins going.
Prenatal
As a personal trainer with a prenatal qualification I tailor make sessions depending on the trimester and any challenges that mum may be facing physically. The sessions are built around you as the mum, your goals and what you like to do. Careful consideration is given to every session to ensure that baby is safe and mum is comfortable.
Postnatal
I begin with a short consultation and assessment to work out the best plan for you to help you feel like your strongest self. Sessions are set around what works for you and your little one, either in the studio, or at home. The first few weeks would be built around posture and pelvic floor, and as we progress we’ll do some work on your core to ensure that those super muscles that grew an actual human are knitted back together properly.
Having had three Huglets of my own with three very different pregnancies I know how key it is to have the right training in place that works with a busy schedule. The time I spend training even now helps me to be the healthiest and happiest mum I can be for them, which is turn is setting a great example for them in how to look after your bodies.
