Taking control of my fitness changed my life

Following my second pregnancy I developed an under-active thyroid, combined with a poorly little one my health, both mental and physical, was in bad shape. I decided to make a change and stumbled into my local gym. There I met Abi who inspired me to give exercising a proper go. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her patient guidance got me on the right track. Over the next 5 months I lost 5 stone and felt better than ever. I’ve since run 3 half marathons, done 3 wolf runs and exercise is a regular feature of my day.

Family life is busy, but getting exercise in is always a priority to me. It’s the thing that shapes my week, and helps me be the best mum, wife and friend that I can be. I teach two classes a week at Fitbox 25, a 6.30am Strength Class on Monday mornings, and a 9.30am Legs, Bums and Tums class on Wednesday mornings. Alongside this I run twice a week and plan in a combination of High Intensity Cardio, Strength and Barre workouts aswell as keeping up with my own Personal Training with Steve (yes, PT’s need training too!) at the Fitbox 25 Studio.
